Westbourne Grammar School has shaped learners for over one hundred and fifty years.
They initially engaged with Khorus to create one stand-alone promotion video - it fast became clear that the best way to support their overall business strategy was for Khorus to develop a series of short video content capturing their exceptional learning spaces, buildings, grounds, staff and of course their students.
Exploring the Westbourne story
How do we best invigorate the Westbourne community and capture the-every-day of students - not just those already attending but those considering sending their children and the wider community?
Working tightly with the incredible Westbourne team throughout the creative development phase allowed us to explore and identify a number of out-of-the-box opportunities to help activate their core ‘Inspire’ strategy and articulate their mission of ‘shaping learners who inspire the world.’

The creative concept
The overarching mission of each piece of content was to capture the contemporary learning approach and showcase the stunning school grounds and facilities with an authentic and wholesome tone.
The narrative-driven video went from a single character-led concept to an expansive, comprehensive snapshot of life at Westbourne, exploring everything the school has to offer across its expansive world.
We created transitions with a lyrical flow, with each scene meticulously designed using a motif connecting one frame to the next.
Capturing the natural lighting, we blended a cinematic tone with authenticity to make the viewer feel a part of the journey as a student at Westbourne.
This creative style and concept filtered down to the additional short videos - which became complimentary snapshots of each age group and many unique spaces within the school grounds, capturing Westbourne's personality and offering the viewer a peek behind the curtains.
Cutting through the noise
The team wanted to push against the typical school marketing showcase; they wanted their content to be authentic and to illustrate the connected, warm and friendly community that makes up Westbourne Grammar.
Given the quick turnover needed, we needed post-production to be seamless and guarantee no input was overlooked. So we connected all parties involved through frame.io - a central feedback space - allowing our team to produce successive iterations of each content piece using the feedback delivered.
