cohealth

Inspiring Asthma Control in Melbourne’s West.

We delivered over 6 videos for cohealth centred around 3 amazing talent.

The Challenge

Far too many Young People are being hospitalised for asthma attacks. Due to many factors some which include:

  • Misguided or misunderstood messaging

  • Poor health resources or doctor advice

  • Lack of knowledge about medications

  • Lack of action plans and management

  • Stigma or embarrassment.

Our Solution

  • Create fun, fast-paced and authentic videos that communicate how feasible it is to manage your asthma and live an active, happy and healthy life!

  • Show how common it is for young people in Australia to have asthma, find their people and find support services.

The workshops really stuck with us; the energy was great... it was really supportive and empowering without making [young people] feel uncomfortable... Your communication with the young people as the program went on was really good
— Clara Adams, Health Promotion Coordinator, cohealth

Workshops and Internships

Unlocking the Power of Storytelling to Aid Youth Asthma Awareness

Alongside our video work we had the incredible opportunity to ignite the creativity of a group of talented young people in our Asthma Storyworks project, designed in partnership with cohealth and CHASE | Community Health Advancement and Student Engagement.

The goal?

Empower them to create captivating content that helps others better self-manage their asthma and ultimately reduce young people with asthma ending up in hostpital.

These young participants dove headfirst into the world of storytelling and filmmaking, exploring narrative structures, various film types, and mastering the art of video editing using their mobile phones!

Throughout the workshop, they dove into making films, bringing their unique stories to life and sharing them with the group!

Swipe through to see some memorable moments from the workshop and a sneak peek at the slides we used during the sessions.
